Applications and route planning
Guardrail cleaning vehicles address a task that ordinary road sweepers do not perform directly. This FAW reference uses a brush-and-water arrangement to clean roadside barriers. It is relevant to highway maintenance teams and municipal contractors with long runs of compatible guardrail. Survey barrier profiles, posts and interruptions before defining the cleaning route.
Understanding the technical specification
The supplier publishes a cleaning-height range and pump flow, but these figures do not establish suitability for every barrier shape. The page also lists a 4 m³ tank alongside a very small rated vehicle payload; those values cannot be treated as a full-water road load. Tank working volume and the legal operating load need a reconciled build specification.
Configuration and quotation checklist
Provide photographs and dimensions of the barriers, post spacing and any reflective fittings. Confirm the cleaning side, brush adjustment, water consumption and the permitted working speed for the site. Request a trial on a representative barrier section and a loaded weight schedule before selecting the tank arrangement.
Maintenance, inspection and handover
Discuss brush wear, nozzle cleaning and access to the auxiliary engine. Ask for a consumables list and expected service tasks for the selected brush material. Route planning should include replenishment access and approved traffic management.
Ordering for your destination
Send your destination country, preferred chassis support network and required delivery location with the vehicle brief. Ask for a dated quotation that separates the chassis, specialist body, equipment, inspection, spare parts and freight. Confirm the deposit, production milestones and shipment documents in the contract. Transit time and import costs depend on the agreed route and destination; they are not fixed by this reference guide.
Reference scope
The figures describe the published reference, not every configuration. Final chassis, body equipment, permitted payload, destination requirements, delivery schedule and price are confirmed in a written quotation.
