Applications and route planning
Food markets, restaurants and institutional kitchens need a collection vehicle that fits their bins and loading areas. This compact Foton reference provides a 3 m³ body for a separate food-waste route. Plan collection frequency around the volume and condition of the waste, and identify where the crew can load without blocking access to the premises.
Understanding the technical specification
Body volume describes space, while permitted payload describes mass. Wet food waste can reach the vehicle mass limit before the body is full. The published 18 MPa is a hydraulic system figure, not a compaction ratio or a guarantee of bin lifting capacity. Ask for the body tare weight, approved payload and lifter interface on the proposed build.
Configuration and quotation checklist
Send bin dimensions, lid style, typical waste composition and the receiving facility layout. Confirm loading height, liquid containment, cleaning access and the push-plate unloading sequence. A collection trial with representative bins is more useful than comparing body volume alone. The quotation should identify which container sizes and lifting accessories are included.
Maintenance, inspection and handover
Request wash-down access details, seal inspection points and a first-service spare-parts list. Include the bin-lifter pins, hydraulic hoses and seals in the maintenance discussion. Arrange a demonstration of discharge and cleaning before shipment.
Ordering for your destination
Send your destination country, preferred chassis support network and required delivery location with the vehicle brief. Ask for a dated quotation that separates the chassis, specialist body, equipment, inspection, spare parts and freight. Confirm the deposit, production milestones and shipment documents in the contract. Transit time and import costs depend on the agreed route and destination; they are not fixed by this reference guide.
Reference scope
The figures describe the published reference, not every configuration. Final chassis, body equipment, permitted payload, destination requirements, delivery schedule and price are confirmed in a written quotation.
