What to compare.

Prepare your enquiry ↓

Choose the treatment process first

An asphalt distributor applies binder; a synchronous chip sealer combines binder and aggregate placement; slurry systems serve a different mixing and application process. Cement-slurry distribution is another distinct duty. Identify the project process rather than treating these names as synonyms.

Materials and application brief

Provide the binder or slurry specification, aggregate information where relevant, intended treatment width and duty. Ask the supplier to review the pumping, heating, mixing and application equipment actually needed for that process.

Cleaning and wear equipment

Discuss service access and the manufacturer-prescribed cleaning arrangements. Request pump, valve, nozzle, spray-bar and other wear-part references for the quoted system. Similar truck chassis do not make treatment equipment interchangeable.

Your operating brief

Treatment process, material specifications, application width, operating duty, site access, refill arrangements and destination.

Include quantities, preferred chassis, target delivery date and any tender documents. The supplying manufacturer reviews the proposed combination; catalogue choices are not an automatic compatibility approval.

What the price should include

Compare the chassis and body specification, installed equipment, optional accessories, inspection and documentation, spare parts and delivery scope. Ask for the currency, validity period, named delivery place and exclusions. A headline price without the same specification is not a like-for-like comparison.

Parts and shipping

For parts, provide the equipment model, serial or part number, dimensions and photographs. For delivery, provide the destination port or place so packing, freight and customs responsibilities can be reviewed. Availability, freight charges and import eligibility require confirmation.

Questions before you buy.

Should I buy an asphalt distributor or a synchronous chip sealer?

Use the pavement treatment specification to decide. A distributor applies binder, while a synchronous chip sealer includes aggregate placement equipment. Compare the required process, material handling and support arrangements before comparing tank capacity or price.

Can I request a different chassis, body or equipment package?

Send your operating brief and destination requirements. We coordinate the request with the supplying manufacturer and ask for a written configuration review. Changes can affect vehicle mass, layout, price, documentation and lead time; confirm them before production.

How do I check the build before shipment?

Agree the exact model codes, equipment list, dated photographs, functional demonstrations and inspection records in advance. Confirm who provides the inspection, what documents are supplied and how outstanding points are resolved before dispatch. Read the purchasing FAQ.
